What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and a hashed password (never stored in plain text).

Professional profile: country, career stage, years of experience, your goals, self-rated English level, job title, firm or office, and phone number if you provide one.

Learning data: your unit progress, scores, mastery records, and the full text of your written answers and simulation conversations.

A photograph of your face: we ask for one when you create your account, to confirm identity — you may decline and continue. We may occasionally ask for another at sign-in to compare against the first. Photographs are stored in our database and can be viewed by AIJUR administrators for verification only.

Messages you send: the text of chat between you and your opponent inside an Arena match.

Operational data: a push-notification token for your device (only if you enable notifications), usage events, and an audit log of administrator actions.

How we use it

To run the app's core features: showing your progress, grading your answers, and personalizing content.

If you explicitly opt in (withdrawable at any time from the Profile screen), the text of your answers is sent to an external AI provider for grading only. Withdrawing consent stops future sends; it does not retrieve text already sent.

Your photograph is used for identity verification only. It is not sent to any external AI provider and is not used for any other purpose.

Chat messages are screened automatically for safety, and any user can report a message or block another person.

If you belong to an organization, its administrators may see your scores, and may see the text of your answers, depending on what your organization has configured. What your organization has chosen is shown to you on your Profile screen.

Who we share it with

Our AI provider (Anthropic and/or OpenAI): the text you submit in exercises, and only with your consent.

Our email provider (Resend): your email address, to send verification and password-reset links.

Our payment provider (Stripe): billing identifiers, where online payment is enabled.

Our hosting, database and error-tracking providers (Vercel, Turso and Sentry), acting as processors on our behalf.

We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. There is no fixed expiry period: your progress and evidence remain available to you until you choose to delete them.

When you delete your account, the data associated with it is deleted immediately, as described below.

Your rights

You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Deletion is real: your data is removed from the database, including progress, scores, the text of your answers, simulation transcripts, and your photograph.

You can withdraw AI-processing consent without deleting your account.

You can decline to provide a photograph and continue using the app.
